Reducing Chemicals and Costs
Trials have shown that Multispectral cameras can be used to successfully identify weeds in numerous crops including Yellow Rust in wheat crops and blight in potatoes. With the use of specialist software this can be used to produce georeferenced maps to spot spray affected areas rather than using preventative sprays over entire crop areas. This has the potential to have a very positive impact on cost input as well as the environment.
